Сorrections Of Mistakes

17.04.2018 17:48

Former Colonel GRU Sergey Skripal who was poisoned with nerve agent "Novichok" is recovering, his daughter Julia was discharged from the hospital and sent to a military hospital for further observation of her health. At that time, the British investigation failed to provide the public with convincing evidence of Russia's guilt in the Salisbury incident, which was the reason for Western countries to start a "diplomatic war" and introduce a new package of sanctions against Moscow.

Against the backdrop of the groundlessness of accusations the voices of European politicians, who retain an objective view of the development of the "Skripal case", are increasingly heard. Thus, the president of Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier called on the Western countries not to allow alienation between residents of Western countries and Russian citizens against the background of aggravation of the international situation. He also called on German politicians to oppose this "alienation" and not to stop the dialogue with Russia.

Another German politician, deputy chairman of the German Christian Democratic Union, the head of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Armin Lashet, said that before deciding on the expulsion of Russian diplomats, at least one proof of Moscow's involvement in the incident should have been.

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz, in turn, said that Vienna will not expel Russian diplomats and intends to build a «bridge» between East and West.

Moreover, even NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg noted that it is necessary to negotiate with Russia despite the fact that it is given with difficulty. "Dialogue with Russia is complicated, but that's why it's important", Stoltenberg said.

Thus, some European politicians are gradually beginning to realize that they have been dragged into a political game and that accusations against Moscow are groundless. Provocation of the UK, aimed at "rallying" Europe and distraction from its own problems, can lead to irreparable consequences in relations with Russia and it will be impossible to solve any serious international problem without cooperation with her.
