Riyadh: US Policy Won't Affect Cooperation with Russia
Saudi Foreign Minister, Adel Al-Jubeir, has said that US policy with Russia will not affect Riyadh's plans for cooperation with Moscow.
"Our mission is to develop relations with Russia in various directions. The sanctions imposed on Russia by the West only concern Russia and the West", he said.
Al-Jubair added that Riyadh hopes the sanctions imposed on Russia will be lifted soon, stressing that the Kingdom's investments in Russia do not violate international law.
"Our relations with the United States are strategic, but we also want to improve our relations with Russia, because good relations with the United States, Russia and China are in the interest of our country and for the Middle East and the whole world", Adel Al-Jubeir stressed.
During the first visit by a Saudi king to Russia King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Russian President Vladimir Putin underlined the rapprochement between the two countries by signing important agreements in the military and energy fields.
