Iranian Parliament Adopted a Law on Countering American Terrorism
The Iranian Majlis approved by a majority of votes the bill on countering "American terrorism" in the Middle East, Iranian State TV said on Tuesday.
According to the press service of the parliament, 212 deputies out of 290 voted for the adoption of this bill.
"This vote proves the determination of the Iranian people in the fight against American actions. The White House should clearly understand that any action against the Islamic Republic will be vehemently repulsed by the people and parliament", Speaker of the Parliament Ali Larijani commented on the results of the voting.
The adopted bill is a retaliatory measure for approval by the US Senate on June 15 of a bill introducing new sanctions against Russia and Iran.
