Corruption Is Main Problem of Ukraine – Stoltenberg
Ukrainian authorities must fight corruption more decisively, Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg claimed during a joint briefing with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kiev.
Despite the optimistic statements of the Ukrainian president, Stoltenberg said that Ukraine still has a long way to go in fighting corruption.
"The Ukrainian government must strengthen its institutions, and it must rid itself of the cancer of corruption. Corruption, inertia and resistance to reforms stand in the way of real change and of a secure, prosperous future for the Ukrainian people", he stated in his address to the country’s parliament.
