Kunduz Seizure: US Failed to Train Afghan Forces
Taliban capturing the city of Kunduz in northern Afghanistan shows the failure of Washington's program to train Afghan forces, head of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Second Asia Department Zamir Kabulov said Friday.
"According to the New York Times, only 500 Taliban members took part in the seizing of the city, and this could have been the Islamic State," Kabulov told journalists.
According to official statistics, the total number of Afghan security forces in the province stands at 7,000. How did 7,000 people run away from 500 Taliban members? This, of course, shows the quality of their so-called training.
