US Police Arrest Nine During Latest Round of Ferguson Violence
At least nine people were arrested late on Monday during protests in the US city of Ferguson, which followed the one-year anniversary of the police shooting of an unarmed black teen, a local law enforcement agency said.
The protesters threw rocks and frozen bottles of water at police, according to the department.
"We continue to support free speech, but agitators who ignore orders to disperse risk arrest," St. Louis police said in another tweet.
According to the local media, the tensions between the police and the protesters are not waning, with hundreds of demonstrators still present at the scene.
