Russian Northern Fleet Divers to Hold Nuclear Submarine Rescue Drills

Russian rescue divers from the Northern Fleet will soon begin training to help nuclear submarine "in distress," the Navy's Northern Fleet's press service said Monday.

"During the training that will soon be held in the Barents Sea, military rescuers will help the crew of a nuclear submarine 'in distress' and practice elements of saving the crewmembers of a ship that is in a 'disaster' at sea," the press service said.

Rescue divers will operate at a depth of 40-50 meters in the Kola Bay for several days.
