Poroshenko: Attitude towards Crimeans who took Russian Citizenship will be Different
The Ukrainian authorities' attitude towards the residents of the Crimea who took Russian citizenship will be different than to those who kept the citizenship of Ukraine, said the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Recall, December 19 the process of issuing Russian passports to the residents of the Republic of Crimea was fully completed. The procedure took less than nine months instead of five years in normal mode. According to the Federal Migration Service, 3.5 million people passed through migration service in the Crimea during these months.
March 16 the Crimea held a referendum on the status of the autonomy. Over 96% of its population spoke in favor of joining Russia. 21 March Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on ratification of the agreement on the Crimea and Sevastopol's joining Russia, as well as the decree on the formation of the Crimean federal District.
