Georgia Doesn’t Support Sanctions Against Russia
Zurab Abashidze, special envoy of Georgia for settlement the relations with Russia, claimed that Tbilisi wouldn't join Western sanctions against Russia.
"The output of Russian-Georgian trade relations is so insignificant that I believe this topic isn?t really urgent and relevant," said Abashidze.
Regarding relations with Russia, he said: "There is no soft tone." "We have no diplomatic relations with Russia. In 2008 at the initiative of the Georgian side, the diplomatic relations were cancelled. This is the most severe form of one state's relations to another. Between our countries the official ties practically don?t exist," reported Abashidze.
It should be recalled that last week "United National Movement" party which is headed by ex-president Mikhail Saakashvili, called on the authorities of the country to join Western sanctions against Russia.
