Kiev doesn’t hear the voice of Ukrainian people

05.05.2014 19:39

Fyodor Kapralov

The Ukrainian government, together with Ukrainian media controlled by the oligarchs call the people in Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Lugansk, Donetsk and other cities as "terrorists" and due to that ? Kiev ignore the opinion of the Ukrainian people.

For example, on April 29, Arseniy Yatsenyuk during the Temporary special Commission meeting of the Ukrainian parliament on the preparation of the amendments to the Constitution said that the terrorists in the East of Ukraine are trying to split the country and destroy the Ukrainian statehood.

Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov also repeats the same irrational claims. In an interview to journalists about the phase of the antiterrorist operation in the East of Ukraine, he said that the terrorists are covered by locals as human shield, and because of the risk of casualties among the peaceful population it was difficult to storm cities. Avakov, probably, does not take into account the fact that the militants, unfair called "terrorists", are representatives of the civilian population, which had to take the clubs and light weapons for protection of Ukrainian nationalists seeking the way to destroy normal life of working people of the East. And the words about human shields ? it is a blatant lie.

Apparently, in Ukraine authorities have completely forgotten what means a terrorist and terrorist acts.

11 September 2001 in the USA can be called as terrorist act, when the invaders had sent two aircraft into the world trade center towers in New York. 2977 people were killed. We can also mention terrorist attacks in Madrid on 11 March 2004, which killed 191 and injured 2050 man, and the bombings in London on 7 July 2005, which killed 52 people and injured 700.

If you look into any dictionary, you will see that the term "terrorist" (fr. terroriste) means: 1) a member or supporter of terror; 2) a gangster seeking their goals by taking hostages or using of violence; 3) persons who sympathize to the form of government, based on fear. participants of Euromaidan, Bandera and representatives of Kiev junta are more suitable under these descriptions. And nothing of it is linked to the people who use the experience of Maidan and block regional state administrations and other buildings, create roadblocks with an extensive reporting system, and call to the referendum.

A reasonable question: "How should Kiev call activists of the South-East Ukraine?".

Considering the demands of many volunteers who want recognition of the Russian language in Ukraine, the resignation of the illegally government, providing a wide local autonomy through the system of Federal structure of the state, we should use the word "Federalists" ("Federals"). This term was used in the first half of the 19th century in Russia and in Europe to call supporters of a federal organization.

One of the most important initiatives in the direction of federalization was Winston Churchill?s speech in Zurich in 1946 in which he advocated the development of the concept of transfering power to the population through the elimination of regional and district state administrations and passing their functions to the executive committees, elected by citizens.

The fact is that while Kiev is calling Ukrainian people the terrorists and don?t want to listen to their opinion, it is impossible to stop the violence in the country.
