Sergey Panteleyev: "The Eurasian Union needs the stable and sovereign Kyrgyzstan"
The most important achievement of the post-revolutionary stage in the development of Kyrgyzstan is the internal situation stabilization and the desire of the current Kyrgyz authorities to correct the mistakes of their predecessors. It was announced at the opening of the international expert roundtable The Kyrgyz Republic In Eurasia Geopolitical System: Economics, Politics, History, by director of the Institute of the Russian Diaspora Sergey Panteleyev.
According to the expert, "the very presentation by the President Atambayev of the issue on Kyrgyzstan's desire to participate in the Eurasian integration process, the urge towards joining the Customs Union is a reflection, perhaps, the most important achievement of the post-revolutionary phase in the development of Kyrgyzstan - the stabilization of the internal situation, the desire of the authorities of Kyrgyzstan to correct the errors admitted by their predecessors."
According to Sergey Panteleyev, "Russia, and, I'm sure, our partners in the Customs Union and the future Eurasian Union need the stable and sovereign Kyrgyzstan, with which it is possible to solve common problems in the general interest."
The international expert roundtable The Kyrgyz Republic In Eurasia Geopolitical System: Economics, Politics, History took place yesterday, on November 21, in Bishkek. Its organizers were the Institute of Russian Abroad (Moscow), Centre for European Integration (Minsk) and the Unity Social Foundation for Business and Entrepreneurship Development (Bishkek).
