Russia and Serbia extend military technical cooperation
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, summarizing the results of his working visit to Serbia, said that the Serbian National Assembly (Skupshtina) will soon get the status of permanent observer to the Organization of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
"In the near future the Serbian National Skupshtina will decide on sending the Serbian delegation of parliamentarians to the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly to secure the permanent observer status," said the vice-premier. He also confirmed the invariability of Russia's stand on the territorial integrity of Serbia.
Dmitry Rogozin also said that Russia and Serbia agreed on joint modernization of certain samples of Russian-made arms, "including on the territory of Serbia for the Russian market and those of third countries." The vice-premier said that cooperation in the defense sphere will be talked about in more detail after the signing between Russia and Serbia of a strategic partnership agreement.
